...and on high-maintenance NON virtual pets, Gavin and Kaya are visiting friends with me for the next couple of days. I snuck Gavin into an Ethiopian restaraunt last night, and he was very good, staying tucked into my jacket sleeping for most of the evening. Towards the end he woke up long enough to realize that there was "NOM, human foooooood!!!' enough to snag him some.

Conures rock.

Other things like work are a bit stressful right now...sigh...but the things that are wonderful, are wonderful.

Heh--that's hilarious that you snuck Gavin into that restaurant! I don't think I'd even try w/ Soph. She'd jump face first into the food... *sigh*

hahaha, it only worked because it was late, and Gavin was sleepy. I tucked him under the collar of my jacket and he cuddled against my chin and fell asleep for most of the meal. There are some advantages of smaller birds! When he came to at the end of the meal, he was a little bit miffed that he had been denied the opportunity to divebomb my plate.

...Which wouldn't have been good, since this was Ethiopian food, and they serve it on big communal trays. I was sharing with three friends who liked Gavin...but maybe not THAT much. mmm, it was good, I want to go there again soon!
