Some photos, and an update...
Job update: I am now working hourly on a part-time basis until I find another firm which suits me better. Which suits me fine. I am directly supervised by and working under the direction of the guy I like, and the less I see of the boss, the better. Grrr. Hisss. Hate.
But, have some cute photos of the good things in my life. Miscellany.
Firstly, Rogue sez O HAI.
This is the drawing of three intertwined willow branches that will soon be burned into the pillar of Lucy's harp. The one she's having custom made and which we are all awaiting with baited breath, here, and should be with it's gleeful player...within the month, I think. I'm still a little shivery about having my art on the thing, but the design, I have to admit, came out really well. It really seemed to flow right out of the pen, and once at the ink stage didn't even need any corrections. I was all, woah, THIS design wanted to happen.
This is Miss Kaya, supervising my work. Gavin, hanging out in the background, was less interested in the art, it appears. yeah, she's a cute fluffy little parrot. She's got no nefarious plans for world domination, oh no, not her.
Like I said, no plans for world domination here.
Lastly, pics taken at the recent Edwardian Ball in the city, which I attended with [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]. Who MADE my dress. (picks jaw up off floor). It is a Victorian not-quite-a-bustle gown (it looks it, but no actual bustle under there, just fabric) after the style of the 1880's. These pictures still don't manage to do it justice; my camera did not like the lighting at the ball, but you get the idea. If you need some spiffy costumery, you now know who to look up. Dude, seriously.
...this is also probably one of the only times you will EVER see me in makeup. The ball itself was a lot of fun, nifty people in lovely costumes, tres steampunk, with some good music.
look, I'm all dark and moody in this one. ;D
