I mainly use Noodler's Black and Luxury Blue--which isn't as good as it sounds. It's a faded blue and it creeps like you wouldn't believe. Plains of Abraham would be nice, but I worry about it clogging in my very pricey Sheaffer Valor. I've used Diamine Sapphire Blue, and I'm happy with the colour, but it's not permanent, and I want something permanent. I do a fair bit of writing and I want a durable hard copy of what I write in case Atlas shrugs and my computer craps out without a current backup.

I agree, Legal Lapis looks like a colour you'd print on American dollar bills. Lapis should look like the blue in King Tut's funeral mask, not grey!
