Redwood, Sorrel, Oak and Fern
Jay and Duck and Hawk and Tern;
Running dog on empty shore
graceful steps on polished floor;
Black and Red and Grey and White
Hope, acceptance, joy and flight.

Aw, it means quite a lot to me that you've been reading and enjoying these. I'm probably _not_ going to do a poem a day forever and ever, but the exercise of making myself do one daily for a month...and how difficult it actually wasn't to pull the task off...has been quite illuminating. I'm glad I did it. I think I got a couple that I liked, and I doubt I would have written any of them if not for NaPo.

We'll see if this makes me more poetical in the future.
