Updates, Phoenix

Update of the Jackel is that I'm feeling a bit better...the antibiotics that I obtained are definitely helping. Only, they make me feel sick to my stomach. Which I guess is an improvement. *sigh*. I'm going to try and make it through a whole day of work today. Yeah. :P

I ordered a bunch of comics from Comic Relief in Berkeley yesterday, including the new Phoenix: Endsong, which I am told is beautiful. I'm totally excited, because the whole phoenix thing is probably my favorite part of X-men in general. Even though Sage is my favorite character, not Jean.

I like phoenixes just conceptually and always have, Jean notwithstanding. There is, for instance, a small one on the wrist of Aiko the kitsune in the below pic, which is one of the slew that I turned out while on my enforced break from reality.

Thank you! er, the vixy's or the phoenix's? ;) The vixen's was, alas, much more striking before I colored it, but given that I like everything else about the coloring but that...I'll live.

thanks. I am fond of 'em. ;). My law school's coolest physical thing was a bronze plaque of the phoenix on the law school and a really big bas relief mural on the main campus.

I'd love to see your interpretation of a phoenix some time. (though you kind of have, if one counts roosters. ;D Hey, there are differing interpretations of what it would look like, though the most common seem to be crane or raptor-based.)
