I vote post. That story is PRIME. Dark yes, disturbing yes, but too well crafted to leave in shadows. It caresses the outer edge of extreme, but it is still contained with convention in the summation. It is a fantasy within a fiction, and ever so fitting for the X-men in the tradition of Claremont who has used the folding of dream and desire, blurring the edges of storyverse reality.
I'd say lay thick the warnings and let the reader make the choice to partake or not at their own peril. I can't think it would badly affect the opinion of any who calls you friend. It may not be to all tastes, but those who don't like don't have to read it.
