I got stuck in the school elevator for forty-five minutes. And yeah, the inspection certificate was expired.

I don't think I'm all that weird.

Funny you should ask. I have fourteen pets: seven from the Psittacidae family, six from the Muridae family, and one from the Canidae family. That equates to seven parrots (three Nymphicus hollandicus, and four Melopsittacus undulatus), six rodents (four Mus musculus, and two Rattus norvegicus) and, of course, a plain old Canis familiaris.

I'd be all like... whoa... This is a long way from Cali, ya know.... Here, have some grilled asparagus! XD Or cookies. Cookies are good, too.

I thought you were so cool (And I still do) and so I like, added you, cause you rock. And I was "stalking" you for some time before you actually added me back after a random comment to a comment of yours in Skye's journal, and I was all like "YAY!"

Re the pet peeves...yeah. Gotta agree with you on those. Those are good ones. :P
re #1, I am of the opinion that only you get to define whether your relationships are serious or not. Me, I'm dealing with the conundrum in my own life of defining what a "serious" relationship is, whether mine qualify (well, Kestrel and Lucy do, certainly, but, uh, my poly life now extends rather unexpectedly beyond them...) and whether the issue even matters.

Setting myself up as a "poly activist" and openly discussing polyamory with anyone and everyone who asks questions means I have to answer things that don't have really good answers, like "is it 'serious'?" and "how can it be primary when you don't live together?" and such. I empathize with your redefining process - I'm going through a couple of redefining processes myself. Good luck!

2) My ~dream~ singular? I didn't have a singular dream. I had many dreams. I also had dreams in the more literal sense. And nightmares. It's amazing to me how many of the things I most feared when I was young turned out to happen.
3) Again, singular? Many talents. The ability to know the right thing to say to make people feel better, the ability to communicate anything in my mind clearly and concisely. I'd like to be able to draw, sing, play musical instruments well, and be multilingual. Oh and healthy, but that isn't really a talent.

part 1 cause I talk a lot
- Not really, unless you consider my fictional characters... nope, that would be crazy. I’d have to say no.
2) What was your dream growing up?
- Dream of what? For work I started out wanting to be a superhero (really young), moved on to dreams of being a writer, and then went through a stage of never wanting to leave school.
3) What talent do you wish you had?
- I wish I could actually draw the pictures in my head. I swear they are really cool, but I’ll never be able to prove that.
4) If I bought you a drink what would it be?
- well it would most likely be a midori melon margarita, blended, but if they didn’t have that I’d take a strawberry daiquiri.
5) Favorite vegetable?
- This rotates and changes, but lately I’m into brocolli.
6) What was the last book you read?
- well, it would be Witchling by Yasmine Galenorn. I’d say it was okay, but the writer would get feedback from me if I was betaing it, to tell her to remember that the average reader doesn’t need her to repeat the characters memory of her father three times. We have a longer memory than that. I’m just reading a few things as I wait for Kim Harrison’s new book to come out.

- I’m a scorpio. I used to research that when I was in junior high, was all into learning about sun signs and moon signs. I’ve forgotten most of it now.
8) Any Tattoos and/or Piercings? Explain where.
- no, I used to have pierced ears (just once) but I just stopped putting earrings in and they are gone. Also I can’t draw the picture in my head that I thought would be a great Tat, so I just say no to tats.
9) Worst Habit?
- I’d have to say that when I feel overwhelmed with all that I have to do, I have a tendency to do nothing at all. That one is a bit irritating.
10) If you saw me walking down the street would you offer me a ride?
- realistically I’d doubt that it was you, stare a while, and then convince myself it couldn’t possibly be you. But if I KNEW it was you, sure I’d pull over.
11) What is your favorite sport?
- not a big fan of the sports. My favorite sports to watch are any sports bloopers that are funny, but other than that I’d have to say they all suck.
12) Do you have a Negative or Optimistic attitude?
- that depends on what the issue is. In work I’m learning to be a bit more optimistic with every time my program doesn’t get cut when it seemed to be in danger. With “love” I’m actually pretty pessimistic and have always been that way. Don’t know how I became a fanfic romance writer with my real life attitude.

- Well, I’d probably talk about books, movies and gargoyles, but more to distract myself from panicking. If you needed to panic you’d be up shit creek, because I’d barely be holding on.

- well, this is a tough one. The funny thing is Worst things don’t leap to mind. I have had bad things, like my family being homeless when I was in junior high for about a month, but in thinking back I think it wasn’t all that bad and I learned things from it.
15) Tell me one weird fact about you.
- just one? Not sure how to interpret the question completely, but I think something rather innocent like the fact that of all my cousins, I’m the only girl, works. Of course the brief crush I had on my second cousin, the only other girl, was never ever mentioned to anyone.
16) Do you have any pets?
- One, a getting a little older now female Keeshond. She is an essay about strange all on her own. She used to be a show dog but the breeder retired her and we took her in. She has some serious personality quirks.
17) What if i showed up at your house unexpectedly?
- Unexpectedly, I’d be in a rush to think of other places we could go so you didn’t see the mess on the kitchen table and the fact that I need to vacumn, or worse yet see my laundry sitting on my couch waiting to be put away. (glances over to the couch – why don’t those socks have mates?)
18) What was your first impression of me? (hmmm...careful!)
- in person the first time I saw you was as I was getting off the plane to meet you. I know you weren’t dressed it, but hippie chick came to mind. Seeing your van cemented the impression :P
19) Do you think clowns are cute or scary?
- stupid isn’t an option? I don’t think they are either really.
20) If you could change one thing about how you look, what would it be?
- I’d like to lose weight. I’d also like hair that didn’t flip wherever it wanted to go without any consideration to appearance.
21) Would you be my crime partner or my conscience?
-I’d like to say crime partner, but I’ve got a wickedly strong sense of guilt, so there are some things I can’t even see people do without cringing.
22) What color eyes do you have?
- blue, blue as can be, a deep blue. I figured I’d ramble since one word isn’t impressive.
23) Ever been arrested?
-no, but I used to play pretend that I was arrested by wonder woman. I also used to pretend I was a prostitute. I was a strange child. I didn’t even really know what sex was, but I had fun pretending I did.
24) Bottle or can soda?
-when I used to drink soda it was always canned. The bottles just didn’t taste the same. I liked that nice metal taste I guess.
part 3 of 3 rambling about me
-honestly, I worry about how much taxes I’d owe and put at least half in savings to cover it. Then I’d agonize over being responsible and saving it or buying a nifty electronic something, like a stereo. In the end I’d save most and take a vacation with the rest.
27) What's your favorite place to hang at?
- aside from in front of my computer, I think once I found a great place to just sit and read. It was a hotel that had a lot of indoor plants around the indoor pool, with a relaxing waterfall too. I loved that. I got to use it for two days and if I ever become very rich I’ll have it duplicated in my house.
28) Do you believe in ghosts?
- yes I do. I lived with one when I was a child, but since I wasn’t the only one to see her I know she wasn’t just a child’s imagination. They funny thing is when she came into my room, I wasn’t afraid of her because she was a ghost. I thought she was a witch.
29) Favorite thing to do in your spare time?
- read fanfiction, write, listen to my music. These are rather obsessively done. I also like going to a movie if there are any good ones out.
30) Do you swear a lot?
-not really, but working with teenagers, I swear more than my coworkers that don’t work with teenagers. I pick up verbal habits and accents way too easily.
31) Biggest pet peeve?
- depends on where we are. At work I hate people rushing in and saying they need things immediately because they waited until the last second, or being pissed at me because I wasn’t at work when they dropped in to do one of these last minute things. I’ve been getting calls from work lately with the front desk telling me about these people and I already work 40 hrs a week. Gimme some time off people!
32) In one word, how would you describe yourself?
- creative?
33) Do you believe/appreciate romance?
- Okay, this one is strange. I don’t really believe in romance or true love or that love lasts. I honestly believe it’s a myth perpetuated by stories and movies. That being said I write a lot of romance and love is destiny types of fics that perpetuate what I don’t believe in, because hey, it would be nice wouldn’t it, if it were true?
34) What is your current favorite song?
- I’d have to say “Next Contestant” by nickelback, but while the song it good I think i love it because the first time I heard it I was watching a Torres/Seven of Nine youtube video .
35) Do you believe in God?
- no, I don’t believe in god. I’m not really sure that we aren’t all an accident and have no purpose and no “soul”, but since I believe in ghosts I think maybe there is something after all of this. What I don’t like is that some people think not believing in God makes you immoral. I don’t need to fear a god or final judgment to do the right thing. I think that makes me more moral.

I am fairly balanced, I guess; I used to think primarily negative, but I've found it's more that I'm negative about some things and optimistic about others. I prefer "practical" to negative, though. I have read studies that say that optimistic people tend to have a more depressed mood. I am not doom and gloom most of the time, but I generally don't look forward to things I don't (and may not ever) have yet (in terms of big things, major life changes, etc.). Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. XD

14) Worst thing to ever happen to you? My parents getting sick, and some pet losses are probably the worst things. It's kind of hard to categorize what would be "worst".

25) If you won $10,000 today, what would you do with it? I honestly don't know. It'd probably go towards mundane bills, pets and medical expenses and so on. I'm not the type to go out and spend it. I have a hard enough time spending the money I do have without feeling horribly guilty.
