Pet photos, feline emphasis
I'm busy but happy, and spring is beautiful. To distract myself while working out, I am posting a random collection of animal pictures. Most of them are pretty poor quality, but they are cute and illustrative. Here, for instance, is a rare shot of Trucker somewhere other than the couch, the cushioned chair, or the food bowl! Vivid proof that she actually is a cat!

We will begin with Trucker, that flower of felinity, that epitome of feline grace and beauty. NO, that's not actually a big ball of animate lint! She's my cat, really!

Trucker gets a bath today, because she also feels vacuum cleaner lint (from a house inhabited by nine coaty pets...) Eeew.
Miz Kitty Nocturne in C Sharp Minor, a bit plusher and neater of coat than her mom and yet still lintlike, snoozing.

Magic enjoying the heck out of a sunny afternoon on the deck following a May morning storm. She knows how to appreciate the good things.

She is 16, but she is still playful!

Magic and Tiger were teasing and pouncing on each other from various spots around the chair and table.

Tiger in the garden.

Cyril is also playful, and usually in motion. One would expect this, given that he is a kitten, but it's still very notable. For such a young cat, he has a lot of character.

Of course, being cats, they rest a lot. Dogs make useful bedwarmers.

The same shot with the flash. I love it when they all sleep on the same pillow.

Wolves also snooze.

Also there is a little green conure. Here having fun on Nikolai's playstand. (Nik was in the bedroom). Gavin has been letting his vest feathers grow in, and he's almost back to having all of his plumage back! He's still a scruffy little thing, since he plays so roughly, but at this point I don't really care all that much. If he's going to be a disreputable scoundrel, then what can you do, but I'd like him to leave his feathers alone.

Miz Kaya never messes her feathers up, because she is perfect. Preen preen.

Meanwhile, this post needed to be, oh, 20% snoutier.

Granted, I'm currently sitting on a couch with three of five cats, so I don't really need more. But still.

You know you need one, though. Don't think of it as adding a cat, think of it as entertaining an elegant long-term demonic guest.

Demonic imps are sort of my style. And I can't imagine any cat-like beast in the universe could be more challenging to live with than Gus, who can open tupperwares with his extra toes, and break into almost anything, and also, eats electrical cables. Just saying. :)

That is a cat :P
