Ginny and Lady Pics!
Seems like all the pics I've posted lately have been of the dogs. The birds demand adequate representation.
Ginny! Posed outside to provide a prettier backdrop for all those lovely green feathers.
Though we are still working on some fear and fly-offs when he is first transitioning out of his cage, Ginny, who is a Senegal parrot, is extremely gentle and steps up well, even when he's just flown off. The longer he's been out of his cage, the mellower he seems to be. I'm hopeful that he will become more comfortable in the future.
Yes, these two are always watched like a hawk when out together. Their cages are next to one another and they seem to enjoy one another's company.
and Lady..."I'm beautiful, too!"
(even though her right wing dosen't fold as it should anymore. She broke it in a night fright about 8 months ago, the only one she's ever had. It never set quite properly, poor thing, but it dosen't seem to be bothering her now).
Dux and the little aricauna pullets! The aricaunas have no names, yet. Suggestions are welcome.
Napoleon (the khaki hen) Josephene (khaki drake) and Felix (geriatric Indian runner drake). Didn't the ducklings grow up nicely? Lookit Josephene's pretty feathers!!!! And Napoleon lays an egg a day.
