It's my rendition of 'ten of swords', my favorite tarot card and one with which I strongly identify. People who know tarot cards tend to give me odd looks when I fess up to that, but hey. It actually isn't that negative, really.
The comic...is all reduced and scanned now. I just need to get it into photoshop and letter it. I am balking at this, but am not allowing myself to start any more projects until I have done so.
Random stuffs: Chris' friends from South Dakota are visiting, also a "tandem couple" (although our bike is prettier. ;) I should mention that they're both simi-pro, sponsored racers, and that she came in second place a couple years ago in the world championships 24-hour mountain bike race (an event that I cannot even get my head around. 24 hours straight on a bike?? whaa??) Now, they weren't in top form, but neither were we...and we kept up with them on yesterday's ride. I feel accomplished in my athleticism. ;) woohoo! But I'm tired now.
National Geo this month has a beautiful, beautiful photo-essay about wolves killing a moose in Alaska. I highly reccomend it for those of you interested in such things.
and I'm happy, very happy, because I am going to at long last adopt a bengal cat!!! I love bengal cats and love this one even more. He's just a wee kit at moment, but in a few months...well, then I'll really be happy. And have a full house of animals, I think.
Book: "A fistful of Sky," Nini Kikiri Hoffman (because what I'm reading at any given moment is at least as informative as what I'm listening to and LJ dosen't have a book thing) This is a really good one. Sweet and sad and unexpectedly dark, quite profound in a very gentle way. And femslashy, but subtleish with it. I wish it had been a little longer in places. 4 1/2 pawprints.
