EDIT: there is another version of this meme going on my adult filter; if you want you may also make a request there.
OK, I haven't done this for awhile, but it was fun the last time. Originally from Keihound, here is my version of the rules:
You give me a brief idea, scenerio or just a word, and specify which character(s). I will come back with a quick sketch. The characters you can use are listed below. Now, IF and ONLY IF I know your character/fursona/etc. OR I have drawn him/her before, you may also ask me to use that character. Link to a ref is still helpful in those cases. I will take the first 10 or so, or until I get tired of it.
I don't insist on meme spreadage, but if you're an artist/writer and want to, pass it on. If you include it, let me know so I can tag you back. :)
To attempt to pique my writing muse again and because I think it might be fun, you can alternately give me a ficbit prompt as well. If there's a different character of mine you want to see, you can ask for that, too.
ALSO NOTE: This won't take time away from pending commissions, if you're one of the 5 or so folks with pending commissions right now. *sweatdrop* yeah I took some homework back from Morphicon. It's a nice exercise in loosening my hand up, though.
I MAY be at Baycon this Sunday...not sure...but at any rate this weekend is pretty booked and so you may not see sketches til midweek. But all promised art will happen. Patience is your friend. :)
Characters:
Jackel, F, black-backed jackal/leopard. Come on, you all probably know her by now. Basically me, other than those times when she isn't. My oldest character. Basically a scruffy jackal-morph with a shorter muzzle and a much longer tail than a jackal, and faint leopard markings along with the jackal markings. She now has three notches in her right ear and one in her left.
Geordie, M, Sheltie. Mostly white with brown under his eyes. A friendly, good natured guy, laid-back, mellow and together.
Canis Minor, F, celestial undead ghoul jackal. Small, curvy, dark blue fur with white limbs and mane, red eyes with clawmarks over the left. Stitched together at limbs, sides and throat. Created by persons unknown for reasons unknown using various bits of pretty, dead things. Alternately sweet and friendly, aloof, bloody and dangerous.
Shard, F, ghostly/vampiric jackal. Some time ago, Shard suffered a violent and terrible death. She's mostly gotten over it. Very practical, though not by nature unkind, and ethical enough to prefer that her blood donors be willing. Nonetheless, she enjoys haunting people, especially if she thinks they deserve it. She can be scary. Her appearance is variable, from barely-visible mist to an almost solid, corporeal form if she's had a good blood feeding. She is always scarred; at the very least, torn and tattered ears and healed scars; at the worst, open, bleeding gashes everywhere. She has some, but not complete, control over this.
Danielle, F, arctic fox. A pretty little white vixen with big, dark eyes, wavy black hair and black tailtip. She is sweetly, gently feminine, though not at all weak, and has a very Victorian aesthetic. In a 'human servant' relationship with Shard, who is also her lover. Always wears a choker set with a bit of Shard's bone, which binds the ghost to her.
Kerza, M, caracal. Sweet little caracal morph boy, cream/blond/tan with big, tufted ears. Flirty, sensual, fun, submissive, thoughtful. A courtisan in service to goddesses of love and lust. A bit of a scholar. Gay as the flowers in spring.
Arandre, M, Dragon/Wolf. Dark green fur and carefully dreadlocked mane, yellow slit eyes, spurs on wrists and fetlocks. Wary, worldly, intelligent, predatory, very dom, very protective of Kerza. I don't draw him much any more, but he's still around.
Meida, F, Ethiopian wolf/phoenix. Another character with a variable appearance. Unless she's a bird, sleek reddish fur with white patches on the throat, underarms, belly, thighs and most noticably diamond-shaped white patches over each eye which extend down her cheeks and meet under her chin. Tall and lithe, likes lots of flashy jewelry, 10 gold rings on each ear. Wings are either white wing-shaped markings on her shoulders, feathers extending from her arms, or wings extending from her back in copper, yellow and blue. Or, she's actually a bird, something that looks either like an archaeopteryx or a hoatzin. Meida is honest, playful, wise and cryptic. She has a sharp sense of humor and sharp intellect. Immortal, regularly dies and is reborn to balance the world's energy.
Raj, M, Ethiopian wolf/phoenix. Animus to Meida's anima, lovers, siblings, one half of the same universal force, they aren't saying. Similar markings, his eye patches are smaller than hers. He has fewer earrings and a crest of blue feathers on his head. His wings are deeper blue. Raj is quiet and introverted, unlike Meida rarely interacting or forming relationships with others.
Anja, F, white tigress. Worldly, urban, quick-witted and sarcastic, a confident, fashionable, practical lady.
NEW CHARACTERS:
Tabby, F, crossfox. Fun, sharp and snarky, she is a mechanic from the same steampunk/pseudo-Victorian world that Danielle and Shard are from.
Cynthia, F, white-and-gold 'sunburst' fox. I'm undecided as to a lot of things about her right now, but her markings are set.
Trixie, F, wolverine. Very new! Typical wolverine personality, alas, but if you can deal with a little surly, she's a nice person. Vaguely butch, practical, a little scruffy, outdoorsy and level-headed. Her gf is a very gentle and laid-back snow leopard I don't know much about yet. She loathes the name Trixie, btw, but I can't seem to shake it as her name. Definitely dosen't improve her attitude...

Question

Date: 2007-05-26 03:04 pm (UTC)This symbol, are you thinking just the basic symbol for women, or the two interlocked that is kinda the universal lesbian symbol?
We really need to catch up. A lot's been going on with me and I keep meaning to email you and it's been months. :P Where are you with 500 miles and where can I read it??
Re: Question
Date: 2007-05-26 05:02 pm (UTC)I know we do need to catch up. I've lost track of time again, as I often do. I just realized recently that I haven't seen you in almost two years. I did the math when I realized that the Gathering in 2008 will be in Chicago, somewhere I want to go and I wanted to see if you'd go with me. Then I thought, gee, when is the last time I saw Summer?
As for 500 Miles, I completed recently. It's at my fanfiction.net page, which is really the easiest place to read it. http://www.fanfiction.net/u/182776/ . I know I"ll probably do more short fics with it. I even have an AU Christy visits Star Trek Voyager stuck in my head. That character of mine could go anywhere. I also have ideas for my Raven version of Christy. I just need to do a few things first.
Now my current writing challenge is that I want completions for the summer. I'm working on going from unfinished fic to unfinished fic and trying to wrap them up right. I made a list and I'm just going to work off of them. It will be hard not to start something new, but what I really want is to start an original fic but I don't feel free to get fully invested in that when I've so many incomplete things.

Date: 2007-05-27 04:58 am (UTC)It is the first time "xyz character" is seeing the ocean at sunset. I will even leave the emotion up to you but me personally, when I first saw a sunset on the beach I was filled with awe and couldn't stop smiling.
This came out sadder than I thought, but...
Date: 2007-06-03 07:47 pm (UTC)I'll finish this eventually :)
