summer_jackelSiiiiigh. All my gargoyles-lovin' friends, none of whom I have met IRL and won't this year because I won't be in Montreal next week, are going to the Gathering. And I'm not. Ah, well...*siiigh*. I've never been to one and always wanted to, and I can wait one more year.
On the other paw, my firm, having just grown by one lawyer (that would be yours truly ;) is moving on the 15th! From bustling downtown Occidental (heh) to a delightfully spacious new office just outside of the old Harmony School about three blocks down from the old site (where, by an ironic twist of fate, my laddie Chris taught for 5 years. If he still did, life would be about perfect.)
Which means...I get my own office! Rather than being stuffed in the old reception office in the floor above the antique store! I'm stoked. The ceilings are high, the walls are a pleasing blue, two walls are entirely window, and there is a private door that opens onto a garden, with views of redwood trees all around. Given how much time I'm gonna spend there, I'm most happy. So, all I need are a couple plants, maybe frame my original pic of Sage from X-treme X-men (Sage would be good company in a law office, I think) a few curios and I'll be cozy.
So yeah, good.
Art and writing: up a storm atta moment. With FAX and GAX, 2 commissions and a gift pic I'm working on, I have my plate full. I was gonna try and have a gargoyles fic up by the Gathering, but I fear that may not happen...well, 'Burn Down' will debut in the anthology, which makes it sort of OK, I guess. I'm in the midst of an X-men fic that was so much of a pain to get going I don't want to let it falter, and since my energy is focused on the drawing it's slowed enough anyhow.
And Roz, I got your story but I haven't had even the time to open the file. I'm about to. Forgive me.

He also has Nitro Glistening on both his maternal and fraternal sides, whoot! Maaaany Champions and Grand Champions and such in your baby cat's lineage. *licks jackel onna nose* be awed and amazed!
I figured out how to get dams and sires to line up by using nested data tables *^_^*
Tonight I did the ped of your baby's daddy. Tomorrow, I follow through with his momma.

Oooh, peds! With photos!! I want to see!! Especially daddy Riot's aqua eyes...which Pouncival the Micro-Tiger definitely has. They so pretty!
little Pouncival is a force of chaos, wildness and beauty in my home...and occaisional purring softness, but at the moment, I think he is going through a growth spurt/stage in which he simply cannot be still for more than a few minutes at a time. ;) He's now allowed to explore the garden in the afternoon and can entertain himself pouncing on dry leaves and windfall plums for hours. It is Very Cute.
I have new photos! Although they aren't fabulous (see earlier diatribes on the subject of my photographic acumen and available equipment) a couple of them are *cute*!!! And they show his eyes. so expect an update soon.
