Weekend, briefly
Oct. 27th, 2008 03:47 pmFriday: Attended a club in the city with my delightful gf. Was awesome.
Saturday: Lucky enough to see The Rocky Horror (stage) show in San Francisco, in which a good friend of mine is playing Janet. It was so very delicious and featured excellent music and a happy abundance of corsets. I had so much fun! If it's possible for you to see this, you ought to. /plugs/Rocky Horror is purrrrrrrrrr and I've wanted to see the stage production for years.
I hope someone locally does Little Shop again soon.
Sunday: Hanging drywall. I believe the appropriate phrase is "sucktastic."
This morning: Drag my sorry carcass out of bed to release the OMG AWAAAAAKE BOUNCY PUPPEH from the crate in which I have heartlessly confined him for the night. About an hour later, I poke my head out of bed again to see what the pets might be destroying. I was delighted to see Nocturne playing with one of the toys I've never seen her play with. A moment later, Coba came up and took the toy. Before I decided whether or not to intervene, Nocturne pounced on him and they spent the next X minutes tussling like, well, puppies and kittens, and sharing the toy.
It was a really neat way to wake up.

The blueberry parfait.

handsome fellow!

And me, all frilled up and painted for Rocky.

Date: 2008-10-28 01:17 am (UTC)The new gf is the lovely lady I've been dating for almost a year now, who lives in Oakland. I adore her, but don't mention her much since she is a little on the closety side, and somewhat shy about being mentioned on the internets. ;) But she and I have a lot of fun. Particularly in the aftermath of my triad, ah, reformatting, she's really been a lifesaver.

Date: 2008-10-27 11:38 pm (UTC)I'd like to see the stage performance of RH. Was there 'audience participation' as is usual with the movie?
Yes, drywalling is full of suck. Wanna come help me with mine? 9_9
And why does that blouse make me think of dressage? O_o

Date: 2008-10-28 12:07 am (UTC)Stage Rocky was so good! There were some catcalls, but not as many, and not during the songs...far more like a theatre performance (which it was) than the movie-with-silent-cast version. I think this was good, but hearing 'I can Make You a Man' without the "And 6 long nights" line was really strange.
NOOOOO DRYWALL!!!!! D:

Date: 2008-10-28 01:15 am (UTC)That blouse would be an interesting thing to do Dressage in, though the judges would WTF about it. Shame I don't do any dressage (yet).

Date: 2008-10-28 01:28 am (UTC)I've seen non-traditional dress in dressage competitions that still placed well. I think it's up to the judge. I think the only no-no is a red coat. (unless you're a member of the US Olympic team c_c )

Date: 2008-10-27 11:58 pm (UTC)EEEE PUPPEH.
All of the puppy-ness lately has left me with the dog adoption itch. We visited the local HS today and I fell in love with this guy. I'm obsessing about him now, even though we are completely at our doggy limit.
Boo for stupid things like space and financial constraints. :(

Date: 2008-10-28 01:09 am (UTC)Oh man, that's a nice looking dog. I can't even look at shelter pages. Too much temptation. /Sigh/ with unlimited time, space and $, the menagerie I'd have...
