Happy Samhain :) And pet pics
Oct. 31st, 2005 08:19 amHappy Samhain/Halloween, guys. Thus far, it has indeed been a weekend full of closures and changes. I'm finally getting rid of my bar study books (will post properly authenticated photographic evidence later.) Most hugely, though,
lythir moved in this weekend. :) It is very exciting and wonderful and scary, (she insists on the 'scary!' bit loudly from the beanbag next to me. ;) and I am thrilled to have her here. (Now if I can only coax her out of the attic. Here, kitty, kitty...)
Samhain itself looks to be fun. We went to a ritual put on by the local pagans last night, a group I haven't visited before because I am virulently antisocial. It had its moments of goodness, but was largely, well, fluffy. Suffered from a certain lack of organization and an 18 year old high priest. (although he was learning...) Reminds me why I fly solo on this stuff 99.9% of the time. Still, I have a lot to let go of this year and a lot that I am *trying* to get past, so being in a group ritual was good for me.
and BIRDIE PICS!!!!!!!
I took a couple of pics of Guinness on the playstand I made him out of driftwood collected from the local beach. (disenfencted and baked to make it all clean and safe.) He's caught in the act of enjoying a guilty pleasure...a little bit of shortbread cookie, the only junkfood I've let him have since getting him. (according to the store, an old staple of his diet was red licorice. ;) He practically snatched it out of my hand when I offered it...great, my bird shares my sweet tooth...
( Really seasonal pics of Magic-cat and Ginny-bird enjoying his Samhain cookie... )
