For the interested, I am no longer employed at Mullen & Fillipi. I am "obviously extremely smart and a very good attorney." But I don't fit the firm.
Yeah, I don't fit well in a firm that defends insurance companies and organizations like Wal-Mart against the people who have been badly injured working for them. I make a shitty corporate flunky. Right. Ethics. I had those, at one point, right??
I "might make a better Applicant's attorney." (i.e, those injured workers). My ex-boss is, of course, right. I did not obtain a law degree to go out in the world and do evil with it, but things are never, ever black and white in the legal world, even if one was to defend murderers. I'd rather defend murderers than Wal-Mart, though.
So I can't feel TOO badly about myself, I suppose, but it was really good money, and...it's just hard.
I will be at Baycon, for those attending and want to catch up to me. One way or another, I am still going to try and make the Gathering, too. Hopefully that latter because I have another job. *sigh*
In the meantime, don't I have lovely dogs?
