Squid link!

A wonderful picture of a hooked squid giving its human tormentor the what-for. I admire the cute little squid's aim and the photographer's luck in getting this. Glee!

'Lime Soap and Squid Ink' will have its own page, btw. Soon as I get off my butt and clean up the images and upload them. Which should be...eventually. I have a bunch backing up. :P

Also. Joss Whedon? Both brilliant and evil. Yes, I am at the beginning of season 6 of Buffy. The deer scene made me smile. And I love Spike even more than I did previously. Spike! Yay! And while we're on the subject of Buffy, may I run down, attack and destroy an RV on horseback? Please? Because I think that would be a LOT of fun. Die, roadwhale, die!!!!!!!!!!!!!! um, *ahem*.

Even if it would have to be a really, really REALLY slow RV, or a bunch of preturnaturally swift horses.

More cephalopod glee...

It's a hard toss-up as to which is my favorite cephalopod: the Humboldt squid or the Pacific giant octopus? Or a smaller, more delicate species of octopus? Well, I may be vascillatory with regards to my octopodes, but the squid thing is an easier decision. 'Cos Humboldts are just darn interesting.

Anyway, here is a vastly entertaining article about that noble beast, the Humboldt sqiuid.
