...but I gots 'em anyway, right?
And I have a new hole in my head, too. Specifically, a third piercing on my right ear. (still just the one in the left). I've wanted to do it for a bit, and I'm amused that I was all scared going into it. It's not like it even hurts and not like I can't shift this level of pain into non-pain at will, but I was still nervy.
For any of you keeping track, my piercings now match the cuts in my character Jackel's ears. (she took her most recent notch back in April). So the decision was a little bit symbolic, the rest plain fluffiness.
I'm highly curious about how fast Chris and Lucy notice. I'm thinking 80% chance of Chris noticing in the first 5 minutes that I'm home. Lucy it depends more on whether she's lost in thought, but if she's alert she may notice faster than C.
On a completely different note, saw "Stardust" last night, with a bunch of friends. It was a fun, very sweet movie but Gaiman's lovely story---one of his most gentle, but still resounding with the dark and thoughtful edge that gives his writing so much of its beauty---did not transfer its power and vitality to the screen as well as I'd hoped. Still, if you're fond of fantasy, are a hopeless romantic or have a thing for really gorgeous horses, I would definitely see it. Yeah, I fit all three categories. My people and I are going to see it again next week.
