Birds! Augh!

So one of Gavin's shiny new foot toys is this acrylic dumbbell shaped thing with bells in either end, enclosed in little chambers with small holes in them...presumably so the bird can hear the bell. Whilst cleaning the heck out of his cage this morning, I picked up this toy and was appalled to find the ends filled with this disgusting orangey brown sludge. What?!?!
Upon closer inspection, I deduced that he had filled the pinholes with shreds of carrot, then water, somehow, and then played with it as intended, thus liquefying the carrot.
Um, Gavin, that's so...creative!
At least he's not bored.
