Chewin On My Puppy Fish

Chaos is the first dog I've had that might benefit from the kind of chew that could conceivably get mistaken for a sex toy; the wolves ignore anything inedible, and the shelties aren't strong chewers.

That's just an excuse, though; given my deep fondness for rubber fish, it was inevitable that I would buy this marvelously adorable thing; having the justification of an actual teething puppy in the house only puts icing on the transparent-toy-fish-with-glow-in-the-dark-spine cake. Or, um, some other strained metaphor like that. It's really cute enough to add to my collection---but the "irrestible bacon flavor" gives me pause. I mean, do I want a curio that tastes like bacon?

Irrisistable? I like bacon. And, y'know, I am kind of a chewy creature; I probably work at bite inhibition a little more than most. I gave it an experimental chomp. Alas, the taste wasn't bacony in the least.

When I gave it to him, Chaos completely ignored the thing.

None of my dogs have ever liked Nylabones, but I still want to buy that one toy simply to leave it sitting on the floor and giggle insanely every time I see it.

...Hey, it's better than wandering the bewilderingly shaped toy isle at the pet store and going, "hmm...I wonder how that would feel if I...MUST NOT THINK BAD THOUGHTS!"

dogger got a pink puppyfish and a purple puppyfish and they're both chewed to shreads... they -suck- to step on so watch out! congrats on the new pup, by the way :]
