Back to Normal
Mar. 3rd, 2004 10:54 amSpring hath definitely sprung. I had a great day yesterday; I drove up to the stables to spend time with the horses. It was clear and warm, a little windy, and everything is growing. Time with horses pretty much gaurantees a great day. They were all thrilled to see me; I haven't been up to see them in far too long. The welcome of a horse is very touching, their trust and affection is truly a gift. Tristan and I are beginning to understand each other more now...he is so different from any of the other horses I've had that his gait and *size* take a lot of getting used to. For a thoroughbred, he is really quite level-headed and uncrazy...of course, that's not really saying a lot. but Tris is a neat horse, with a great willing attitude when he isn't being a silly thoroughbred, and he *jumps*.
Bey also jumps quite well. Of course, Bey also thinks it is vastly fun to see if she can unseat/bolt/run off with me, which she always tries at least twice. (at least this time she didn't succeed). I'm lucky that she's a *small* horse. Everything is dominance games with Bey. Still, she's a joy.
So...I have a new story finished! No, it's not about Demona, sorry, still working on that. It wasn't any of the several things I have been attempting to write. But I kinda like it. I was contemplating just posting it here, but I think it's a little too long, and this is probably not the most appropriate venue. If anyone would like a look at it, just drop me an email.
So...life...yipe. I need to go and find a job now, very much. So jobsearch this morning, and then grocery shopping, and then maybe a nice sniff through the pile of comic books I picked up when I was in Berkeley for the bar. Ah, comic books! Life can be good.
and something else nifty:
