I went to plug a cord into the wall socket
and saw that in the day,
a minute spider, half a peppercorn in size
had made her strand of web and hung suspended
between the wall and table
at peace in empty air.

I moved around her.
There was no need to take this tiny life
or even to disturb it.
I haven't always noticed them,
but my kitchen is full of spiders.

I like spiders too... but I do take them and put them in a nice outside place when I find them in my house. =>

I tend to do that with a lot of them, but there seems to remain an abundance of them. If they aren't in my way, I often just don't bother.

That's sort of a thing about spiders: train yourself to see them, and they're there.

Yeah. That seems to be the case. By the way, I found one of those cute black and red jumpers that you've been finding (in Hayward, not at my place) and played with it. It was very cute and large-ish, with shiny eyes. I thought of you.
