Weather! And pretty pictures

The weather has been gorgeous this week, sunny and springy and lovely. Yesterday,
howl_at_the_sun and her dog came to visit, and we walked up to the ridge. There, we found an amazing three scorpions and a rubber boa, as well as several salamanders and a little guy who might have been a baby gopher snake. Squee!
The 3 or so weeks before that saw some very exciting spring storms that brought trees down on all the lines that bring electricity and the like into my town, so my power and phone have been sporadic.
There are pictures.

Lovely woodland creatures

The boa! I am so excited when I get to see one.

This scorpion was in the middle (literally) of eating a centipede. Now I like them even more.

Noble Steely Collie.

Various posed glam shots of Coba.

Coba happy to be released from such things, so he can go get even filthier!

Back at home, we have Nikolai's area.

This is Nocturne looking wistfully at the goldfish.

So many things to love about this one.

And now back in time a couple weeks, to storm-ravaged Camp Meeker!

Closeup of a power pole hanging by its wires:

and some wires in the road

I love the little orange traffic cone.
