I am getting seriously excited about the Sebastopol Celtic Festival. Dervish! Martin Hayes! Cherish the Ladies! All starting *the day after tomorrow*. yip yip yip!!!!!!!

1. bengal cats:
   Slinky, glittery, independant, gorgeous little micro-leopards. Mine, Basts Pouncival Titanium Tiger, is by far the most interesting, unusual and in-your-face cat I've ever been owned by. Bengals is neat.
2. celtic:
   I am a Celtic fiddler and have a strong interest in the music, history, art and mythology of ancient and modern Celtic cultures.
3. edward gorey:
   One of the best artists EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! With one of the more appropriate names.
4. foxes:
   How can you not like foxes? Gorgeous, slinky and loaded with symboism. I have been dreaming about them a lot recently. Once I saw a litter of gray foxes run across the road and into a tree. I got out of the car and looked up at them and was stunned...utterly floored...by their beauty. Pictures do not do them justice. They are relatively common where I live and I am fortunate enough to see them from time to time. I always consider myself to have been the recipient of a great blessing when I do.
5. jackals:
   Grace, the ability to survive, to make the most of the edges and fringes. Old-wold coyote, symbol of and keeper of death and the shadow realms. A really neat critter in a deeply necessary ecological niche. My teacher and guide.
6. neil gaiman:
   One of the best writers ever. His 'Sandman' astounds me, a deep, subtle, classically tragic tale rich with mythology, sleek style and some seriously wonderful characters. 'Brief Lives' is magnificent. And 'American Gods', like just about everything he writes, is wildest fiction that is full of truth.
7. road cycling:
   Originally my partner Chris's passion, it spread to me like a fungus, and you won't hear me complaining. Probably as close to flying as you can get without leaving the ground, and a heck of a way to stay fit.
8. sled dog sports:
   mush!!!! I love huskies and dogs that pull. My team of three pulls a scooter in the trails behind my house, and a sled in those rare instances we can get up to the snow.
9. waterfowl:
   QUACK. I have always loved ducks. Always. With a deep and abiding passion. I am not sure why, but they fill me with peace and joy.
10. x-men:
    Guilty pleasure, soap opera, light diversion, the occaisional profounder theme, lovely art, sometimes awesome, sometimes awful, always amusing. Sage alone is enough reason to love this comic, but loving it so really proves (as if it needed proving...) that I truly am a geek.
