Gorgeous spring day, dogs, sealife
Mar. 8th, 2007 03:06 pmI'm awfully happy to be alive right now.
Went to the beach the other day and frisked in the waves on a perfectly balmy spring afternoon. I feel like a new thing, reborn and remade.
Fenny

Rogue! I'm a sheltie! Bark!

Mother and Daughter

Pack (and Jackel's clothes)

frisk

Rogue and Fen hanging out

Jez and Pryde faceoff

Pacific Giant green Anemones are <3!

An Ochre Star I found washed up on the beach. poor thing had a hard life...it was regrowing an arm. Still alive, though, and since the tide was out, I stuck it on an exposed rock. If it was strong enough to latch on before the tide came up, it may live a while longer.

Date: 2007-03-09 04:11 am (UTC)Anyways remember that guy who I asked you concerning his dog? Well now he seems to have a diabetic budgie who vomits when she sneezes (well occasionally). Apologies if I'm bugging you with this but since you have parrots (which are somewhat related to budgies) you would have first hand knowledge on what might be wrong. Which is probably better than what I might dig up in a Google search. Not because of laziness.

As if I don't have enough to get stressed about it appears that I have a sick birdie. She seems to have health problems which is pretty much expected from a pet store bird. She's feeling kind of weak and she barfs when she sneezes. Otherwise she's behaving fine.
Her name is Birdiecuda because she hates hands and will attack on sight. If she's out of the cage I usually walk up to her with my hands behind my back. Then she's friendly and will kiss me and lick my face. (Only me, though. She's skittish around other people.
She freely comes to play with me in the bedroom. When I'm on the computer she's at ease around my hands because they're busy with the computer thing. She's sitting on my chest right now cudding with my neck. She may be a mean spirited little birdie bitch to hands... but she's a tweetheart! She gets particularly clingy to me when she's not feeling well. She's diabetic, and I can't get her to eat the right kinds of things. She nearly starved to death when all I was feeding her was steamed veggies or raw veggies or fruits.
Anyone who knows me knows I love my birdies. They're my constant pals, always here for me and don't care about my failures in life. All that matters to them is that I bring the fun and the food and the occasional scritchin' on the noggin.

Date: 2007-03-09 03:09 pm (UTC)Budgies, BTW, are a kind of parrots (defined as a tropical bird with a hooked bill and zygodactyl feet). A parakeet is a parrot with a long tail...which makes even the largest of parrots, the macaws, parrakeets!
