New arts.

Inked version of the moody little Meida/Canis piece. This won't really be cool until it's colored.

Honestly? This is here because the line, "I dated a humboldt squid once, when I was in college" popped into my head and it wouldn't go away until I used it. Cynthia is oversharing, I think. Poor Jackel, just wants to read.

The book, by the way, 'The Octopus and the Orangutan", which is about animal intelligence, is very good.

I have evil friends. Evil, evil friends like [livejournal.com profile] leora and [livejournal.com profile] corpsefairy who hooked me on "Lush" cosmetics. Mind you, I'm not usually a fan of fancy bath products, but these...!

The lime one is my favorite, and led to this. Canis Minor would have a lot to say about it. Still, I hope I am never so mean as to let the words "better than formaldehyde, dead girl" pass my lips. Even though I know I am. ;)

Jackel. Even hurt, she can still bite.

One of the most memorable science programs I ever saw showed an octopus in a research lab tank, after the lights were turned off and the scientists went home, climbing out of its tank, crawling across a counter, and climbing into a second tank so it could consume the creatures inside.

:D

Sincerely, Allaine

Out of my head.

I've been thinking about the sunset on the ocean lately. It's on my list of things I want to see and haven't. Been meaning to since I was 16. Almost managed it last time I was in Santa Cruz, but the timing was a little bit off.

Why not? They're certainly big enough...
