Still more! Mostly the Goodale Pass photos here, almost 11,000 feet. It was very dry and exposed at the top, almost like a moonscape in places. So much rock on such a grand scale.

Still at Graveyard in this one:

Dry this time of year, alpine marsh grass looks like it was designed by Tim Burton.

I wish I'd taken more on the way up, but honestly I was tired enough that I wasn't thinking well.

The summit of Goodale Pass. Obviously no shade or water here, so Chris, who was about 1/2 hour in front of me at this point, went on down until he could find some.

A little spring, water is a very good thing to find. I caught up to Chris here, who was getting worried.

I'd be interested to know if you followed a set trail, or blazed your own way. If the latter, would you mind sketching the trail out on a map?

mostly, we followed a set trail. To get to the upper Graveyard lakes, however, there is no trail, and there is no trail up Graveyard Peak...it's just a scramble up rock. I'll be happy to scan and post the map when I get home, maybe tomorrow. :)

Thank you. One thing you might like about Flickr is that you can set the GPS locations for your photographs, assuming that you have the equipment to do so and record the data while you're up there.
