See you in a week

So, I'm headed to the Trinity Alps tomorrow, where I'll be backpacking until Friday. I'm spending the weekend in the Sinkyone Wilderness with Kestrel and then coming home Monday or Tuesday. So, 9 days and two wildernesses, the mountains and the sea. I'm pretty excited and also a little nervous; this is probably the longest solo backpacking trip I've taken (5 nights, 6 days) and it is the latest in the year I've attempted a backcountry trip that wasn't intended to be a snowshoe expedition. I've been traveling the Trinities since I was in high school, but I've never been up there in October. It should be interesting. Also, rather cold at night. But hey, I will have three very furry dogs.

I'll virtually see you in a little while.



(Also, , and continue to be itty bitty dragons. Which hopefully won't 'die' in my absence).
