This week was...rollercoastery. Had some wonderful bits and some pretty hard bits. But here I am.
Spent most of the day cleaning the attic...UGH!!!!!!!!!!!! but my own fault for not going through the too-many boxes of stuff...well, years ago. Procrastination on ugly jobs metes out its own punishment.
I unearthed all sorts of cool things, though, some of which reminded me of how very much I've changed over the years...and ways in which I haven't. Letters from dead grandfather and first boyfriend, a worn feather that is all I have from my lost Squeaky Green (don't laugh, sometimes animals just take names and you can't get rid of them), high school valedictorian speech, college notes, my simi-official Meyers-Briggs result (INFJ. Never tested any other way ever. The neat thing on the result was, I apparently had close to the highest possible score on introversion and intuitive, pretty far towards judgment and almost exactly half way between feeling and thinking). Lots of stuff like that. Life can be pretty odd.
After I cleaned up, I went and visited the horses, which is always wonderful, and also my mom and brother, which is...sometimes considerably less so. But we went out to dinner for my brother's 17th birthday, and it was relatively painless.
Also: a conure is grooming my elbow cutely. I love my bird.
