Want some amusement? Read These.
Sep. 15th, 2008 09:06 amOK, I found this truly hilarious list of really odd book titles and had to share, because they really are that funny. Some of them are less so when you know the context; for instance, 'Bomb-Proof Your Horse' is a book I've looked at and a term in very common usage if you're a horse person. (Bomb-Proof, of course, refers to an animal less likely to spook at things and is therefore safer to ride). I can understand how it would be pretty funny to someone who wasn't horsey, though.
Still, I don't know if I want "Butterworths Corporate Manslaughter Service" or "Reusing Old Graves" explained, although I am seriously curious about "Oral Sadism and the Vegetarian Personality."
And will someone please get me "The Big Book of Lesbian Horse Stories" (Kensington Publishing, 2003) for Yule or whatever this year? I think that it's a title that I really should own.
