Thoughts from a rainy Monday

* Finally getting some rain. /huge sigh of relief/

* On a bike, hour 2.5 of a hopeful 4.5-5. Sweat.

* I find that techno music is great to ride to, but I know pretty much nothing about it. Some of you might. Please feel free to suggest anything in that general genre you really enjoy, with bonus points for stuff with a nice fast cadence to it.

* After an absence of a year or so, I've made my DeviantArt page active again. They've fixed a lot of the things that were driving me nuts and drove me from the site when FA opened, but my FurAffinity page will be updated first and more thoroughly. Still, I know that some of you are boycotting FA, and if you care to follow my work anyway, you may now do so.

* thenewmeat made me a valentine! There are tentacles! Go look!!!

* Saw Coraline. You should too, probably several times. There were a couple of small but really wonderful details in the book which were left out of the movie for no reason I could determine, and which in one case created a plot inconsistency. Still, it's so good on so many levels.

* Oh, gods, parrot cute. If I get the camera out they'll stop doing it, but Kaya is hanging upsie down from a rope toy on their tree stand. Gavin is standing a little below her and they are feeding each other (looks like making out, and it is the psittacine equivalent, actually. I seem blessed with animals who get on unexpectedly well across species lines). Well, ok, now he's pulling her tail and she's flapping around trying to get herself back up. I love parrots.

* Now Kaya is snugged behind my neck as I pedal the bike. <3.

I like the stuff Armin van Buuren does/organizes. Also, Paul Oakenfold does/organizes pretty good stuff. It's specifically called Trance. Yes, techno has subgenres.
