...most of them "outtakes," but some pretty ones, too. Will kill dialup dead and all that.



This is the kind of photograph that a person would expect a friend to immediately delete; it's part of the implicit agreement of letting someone take your picture, right? Besides, everyone has suffered this kinda picture, usually on their driver's license. But hey, Coba is a dog and can't complain about me posting this hilariously dorky thing all over the internets. LOL, the lopsided ears and weird eye thing and the stick stuck to his nose....

Beautiful place. The forest is really amazing this time of year.








This is the remains of a very old bridge across the creek, possibly from the logging days ~100 years ago. It's all old redwood. I've been watching it decay, little by little, over the years.


I don't have the whole macro lens thing figured out yet, but still pretty.


The bonny broom of the Cowdenknowes, which in California is a super bad news invasive species. But it's still pretty.

This isn't a bite; it's affection. Kaya likes to nibble on and hold my fingers sometimes. She's very gentle.


She totally figured out this foraging toy. I moved it so that it was further from the perch and behind another toy.




Awww little snake! I set him on the table while I fiddled with the camera, and he decided to hide his head for a moment. Tell me they aren't cute like kittens and puppies.

Now, honestly, wouldn't you delete a picture of a human if they had a booger on their nose? Meeeeean jackel! :D

Such wonderful pictures! You're getting the hang of this camera fast. I knew you would.

Also, conure acrobatics rock my world. I would totally have one or more conures if I weren't married. :D And the snakie is sssssso cute!

hahahaha yes, I'm so mean to that dog, I totally wouldn't post this if it was of a human.

Greencheeked and other pyrhurras conures aren't nearly as ear-bleedingly loud as the aratingas, if that's your husband's problem with them. Personally, I find the sounds of a lovebird way more annoying...they are OMG adorable little birdies (especialy the yellow ones!!!!!!) but I could never live with one.

No, he just doesn't want ANY other birdies (or cats, or dogs. Five pets is more than enough for our situation, I have to admit. It's hard trying to make sure they all get the care and loving they deserve. I don't know how you and Lark do it.)

I'm really impressed with the color and clarity of the pics you've been taking lately.

In a previous post, you described your new camera as a Sony DSC-a200. However, I can't find a reference to that model of camera on the Sony website. But they do have the DSLR-A200K and DSLR-A200W models. Is it one of those cameras that you're using?

I showed my mom some of these pics and when we were looking at them she said "You need to go look around up there. I think you will be happy living there." :P:P:P Yeah for green growing prettyness and adorable animals. Delphi (that is the snakes name right?) is SOOOOO cute!
