Although I wish our culture didn't conflate things like shy with introverted or shy with deep. You can be shy and shallow and dull. You can be extroverted and complex. You can be introverted, deep, and confident.

This is a very good point. I think that in the case of the above quizthingy, I translated "shy" (which is an emotion and/or personality trait that I am neither attracted or particularly annoyed by) to "introverted" (which I do tend to like) because it seemed as though that was more what the writer of the thing meant. But introversion, shyness, complexity and depth of character are all very different traits which seem mostly independent of one another.
