How could I not love dogs like these?

My boys sharing a sniff.

Lovely Jezzie, coming into summer coat.

awwwwwww

This madrone is so beautiful.

Smelling the flowers, awwwwww. Yeah, yeah, I know he's really smelling the dog pee. Still cute.

Pryde is getting so old. His low back is really a problem, but he is still doing OK and enjoying life.

Noble Trail Sheltie is veteran of many wilderness excursions.

I didn't pose him. He just lay down next to the blue wildflowers that matched his eyes and looked up at the camera. I swear on a stack of the sacred text of your choice.

A neighbor comes to visit.

Dux Josephine, Vivienne and Felix.

Hens Wild Blue, most likely some kind of bantam cross, and Arcata, who is a silver phoenix given to me by
javachickn. She's so gorgeous, but you should see the roosters!

If Kaya wasn't so good natured, I would worry about what exactly she was scheming all the time.

Plants of mine which are not finicky maples. My very favorite orchid; doesn't it look like lungs?

Roses don't tend to do well here---too damp, not enough sun---but this one is doing ok.

I have about a zillion fuchsias, which are just starting to bloom. They attract a lot of hummingbirds, and my yard is subject to many tiny but serious turf disputes.

This wasn't posed, either.

Evening

And this morning (why do I bother bathing them?)

I'm glad Pryde is still feeling alright. He looks wonderful.
