Pounce was in *such* a good mood this morning, which I love. Although the moment I took the collar off (to give him a little break, med him, and feed him, because there are few things sadder than watching a kitten try and eat with an e-collar) he started *scratching* at his darn eye! grr. Back to the collar with you. So he's feeling better. We like this.

Chris and I both have colds, though, which sucks.

It is raining. I love the rain. I love how it makes the earth moist and quiet, the mist turning the redwood trees a thousand shades of green and gray, waking the mosses and all of the tiny streams. October makes me happy, and always reminds me that I am alive.

And how nifty is this? Always did think Loki was one of the coolest tricksters. Although, did ya know that the Jackal, like the Native American Coyote, is a trickster figure in Middle Eastern folktales? We jackals are versatile puppies...
