A foggy beach, some collies, happiness.

Yesterday was well spent in fine company as
kynekh_amagire and Luck, her very sweet border collie, came to visit. There was much collie frolicking at the beach; her collie and my collies pack well together. (No Jez on this trip, as she is a bit too much intensity for Luck, but I'll make it up to her).
Yay for collie friendship.

Collie dance step?

I love the action shots, when I snag them.

They make a nice pack.

Chaos keeps reminding me that he is only a 6 month old puppy. Just a huge one.

Rose in the sand.

Coba goes boing!

awwww collie

Check out my gawky pup being all pretty for a few seconds.

...he's watching his buddies get surprised by the surf.

How fast can one little housefox move away from the water?

And this one is from the weekend before last, of
nicole_monkey, myself and the pack in the Willow Creek woods.

Date: 2009-10-22 12:06 am (UTC)I've never had an issue with any of the dogs and salt water, although I do tend to bathe them not long after beach days, if only because I want them all clean and coconut-smelling. They tend to hang out in the house and that makes me happier. ;)

If you ever feel like trying out another pack mate on your trip, let me know. :) She's a bit submissive, but should get on ok with other dogs if she's not surrounded straight away.

Date: 2009-10-22 07:56 pm (UTC)We've taken Greg's dogs to blind beach before, but never mine, mainly because she was not here during those times. His old gal is starting to get aggressive with other dogs, and the male in un-neutered and has been in fights with other males, so we keep them leashed.
Dog politics, eh.

Date: 2009-10-22 06:21 pm (UTC)Dog behavior can be so interestingly subtle. I find pack dynamics endlessly fascinating, and I'm happy that ours get along well. Sort of. I find Coba's hopeless crush endlessly entertaining, though I feel just a little bad about it...oh dogchild mine, we all have to get our hearts broken sooner or later, I suppose. How do you explain 'neutered male' to a little shelt who is trying very, very hard to be courtly?
