Love the poem-- I particularly love the brevity and power in those few words. Describes coyotes perfectly (only crit: you might want to spell grey/gray the same way both times, unless that was specific).

Heh, it's still not as bad as the day I brought him home...he was smelly and had been playing in the mud, so my intorduction to the poor wee puppy was a 4 1/2 hour drive followed by a bath! I'm sure he thought that his young life had been given over to a puppy-torturing monster!
