Aw, thank you. Yes, that's mine; I'm taking part in NaPoWriMo this month (like National Novel Writing Month, only with poetry) and I'm trying to create a poem a day all month. That's what fell onto the screen this morning. Glad you like it!!!

The original poem that I woke up with, though, if you like it better, is

Animals are so simple and yet far more complex then we give them credit for.

But at the root, if you give them food, water, safety and the ability to follow their breeding impulses, they're pretty contented.

Meant to ask if you've seen How to Train Your Dragon, Jackel. It's a movie made, I think, specifically for critter lovers. :-)

This is true.

I want to see that film a lot, it looks adorable. Maybe this week. My local theatre shows it only in 3D, which I loathe, so I have to go into town for it.

Why do you loathe 3D?

In alot of movies, it's just a money-sucking device, but in this one it's a huge contribution, so if it's just that fear not. It's VERY worth it.

If it's because of motion sickness, though, avoid the 3D like the plague. There are some extraordinarily exhilarating flight sequences in it.

I won't spoil it too much, but I will say this: don't believe the trailers too much. Toothless, and the other dragons, are first and foremost depicted as *wild animals*. They are neither malign nor cutesy, but animals, that act in a VERY realistic way. As such, critter-whispering plays a very big part in it, and thusly it is RIGHT up your alley. :)

I'm planning on hauling [livejournal.com profile] eclipsegryph to Rohnert Park sometime this week to see the film NOT in 3D. We could combine forces! Possibly.
