Other than a touch of craziness with my mom, I had a fantastic weekend. Friday was a lovely gathering with dear friends in the East Bay that included cupcakes, epic piles of Indian food and some really good news. [livejournal.com profile] kynekh_amagire came over for the weekend, and we went to the beach with the dogs, hiked around a bit and generally had fun. Also, piles of fresh and delicious fish from Bodega Bay and a Midori cake that Kyn made and decorated with a cuttlefish. Seriously.

Cuttlefish Midori cake was really yummy. Also, I am 34 and not dead! Yay?

Bey and Equinox. Isn't the youngster growing, though?

Little guy's new yearling halter is already on the last hole. He's growing! Xpony is almost as tall as his sire and dam; I think he may grow taller than either of them. (Both are just shy of 15 hands).

Hi, I'm a pony. Shouldn't you be petting, not photographing? I can just put my muzzle in your lens.

Got this sweet shot of zooming Rooster! Tripup is also shooting like a weed.

A cute little purple shore crab.

The collie boys have this adorable friendship. Collies on the whole seem to sleep hilariously, and it's even cuter when they do it together.

Flat, tired puppies are the very best kind.

LOL at snout of pony. And at chronological order of photographs: yes, puppies sleeping in a pile is a direct result of puppies zooming on a beach.

OMG, fresh fish off the wharf. LET'S DO THAT AGAIN.

Heh. Also I see configurational similarities in Baby Bey and Chickenpuppy, particularly "goodness, I have a snout, skull pending delivery" and "also my front legs both attach at the same point in the middle of my nonchest". I wonder if he has an Elevator Butt, too.

34 and not dead yet? Will that make my reaching 44 next month a miracle or something?

You know, thats almost exactly what I said when I turned 46 recently...
I marvel that I'm still alive.

Happy birthday, by the way.
If I lived closer, I'd visit.
*hugs*

I'm nearly 40 and celebrating that I really am still around, having survived more attempts to kill me -- by my own body -- then your average Agatha Christie novel contains.

I certainly am glad that at 34 you're not only still alive, but young at heart. :>
