One contented, *well socialized* 'possum. I don't see many wild animals that would tolerate all that got done to her in that video. Heck, she even looked like she was enjoying herself on a couple of occasions. :>
I expect it's probably been a pet since it was a joey. Orphaned, or something like that.
ETA: I've heard that, unlike many wild animals, 'possums can be quite tame and sweet if they're raised by hand -- heh, don't want to imply that I think this is true of orphaned wild babies in general, a childhood drenched in Disney films notwithstanding.
Awww. I didn't think you were. This looks alot more of a case of 'give the animal the best quality of life you possibly can' and if the way to do it is raise it as a sort of pet, then do the best job you can.
The possum in the video certainly didn't look unhappy. Quite the opposite...and that just made the video all the funnier. :>
I practice animal massage myself, and I still think this video's completely hilarious.
The possum was just priceless. Tame and relaxed as could be at all the strangeness (the fact that it tolerated being on its back for so long by itself was a small miracle), but you could still see the 'Ummm...what ARE you doing to me?' reactions on multiple occasions.
