*happy blissed delerious prrrrssssssssss*......
So. Today Chris and I rode 60+ miles on the tandem, over the coastal mountain ridge between our house and the sea, King's Ridge road, one of the best bicycle rides anywhere, ever. Also steep. very steep. Took us 4 1/2 hours, pedalling time.
I did this last spring and was so tired I was sick. At the moment, I'm euphoric, like on drugs, only in a good way, because normally I hate being on any kind of substance where I can actually feel it effecting my head...I suppose my own endorphins don't count. We finished so strong. I can't believe it.
And it was beautiful. So incredibly beautiful. Through woods and groves of oak and redwood beneath a gray sky threatening rain, opening to the sea cliffs with the sunset gilding the wide slate sea. The world is beautiful, humbling, phenominal, the only and ultimate sacred thing. I am humbled. Awed. And so subbed out right now...
