I'm beginning to get very excited about the con. And I'm thrilled to say that all of my art for it is *done*! (throws confetti in the air.) And scanned into the computer, even, for post-con VCL'ing. So I sat down last night to matt the remaining few pics...and therein lies the rub.
It seems that the three remaining sheets of matt board that I got for this project so many months ago are so the wrong stuff. It's this sort of quasi-adhesive crap that I can't work with and certainly isn't archival anyway. *facepalms* which means another drive to Santa Rosa in the pouring rain, dammit. Ah, well.
Speaking of the pouring rain, I am absolutely loving it, because water from the sky makes me happy. However, it is causing nasty floods and mudslides in SoCal, and I am perforce worried about my friends there. (Roz??) Plus, if this really keeps up, the Russian River will flood. Which is pretty, but bad. (I like Gurneville and don't want to see it washed into the Pacific.)
Fishtank stuff: the gouramis seem like they are settling down. The two very small cory catfish aren't doing much...they park themselves to either side of the tank and sit. I hope that this is just a phase young corys go through, and that they are alright. The two bigger ones are always in motion, and seem to enjoy one another's company. 's cute.
And I am in the process of getting a battery charger for my camera (because it eats AA's like nobody's business) on ebay. When I do, Pouncie photos galore will be forthcoming.
