Houndlet at one year!
Jun. 14th, 2012 09:32 pmDerzhava was a year old yesterday. Amazing!

Sadly, between tricky lighting and the hound not wanting to stand still, none of the photos were clear. Zhava is still growing taller. I can see changes in her skull shape from week to week, and occasionally still from day to day---watching a giant dog grow up has some spectacular moments. She has admirable manners for a yearling hound, but very much all puppy and full of energy. There are flashes of the competent, fierce and sensitive adult I think she will become, and her coat is starting to come in as she grows more height, strength and speed every day---and yet she's such a silly little thing.
