So...a meme that's making the rounds with lightning speed, abstracted from bunches of people:
If you woke up and I was in bed with you, what would be your first thought?
How about if you woke up and THIS CAT was in bed with you?

Yes! This picture of Pounce deciding that, no, he will not hold a pose and why am I pointing that interesting shiny thing at him? means that I finally got the battery charger for my camera! (After the company sent me the charger itself but not the plate that would let me charge my specific battery...which really sucked.) And I do love my camera. Even if it does eat the battery, and the memory stick will only hold 5 photos, and I have teh major 'good camera lust' now. I am still happy, because even if it is no longer state of the art it is, in fact, a digital camera and is in fact mine.
So here are the promised kitty pics. I love my cats. Warning for image heavy behind the cut. Doggie pics coming soon.
Pounce showing his really lovely spots.

A regal profile. I need to figure out how to reduce the green-eye factor on katty pics.

You can really see the shine of his paws in this one. And his fascination with all of Chris' bike parts/tools/etc. He sees Chris off every morning when Chris takes off on his bike to go to work.

And my lovely Magic, displaying how very glossy her fur is, which is a very desirabe trait in her breed (Bombay) and her extremely green eyes, which is a disqualification in her breed, but I love them anyway.

yay PICTURES!

This can easily be solved buy not using the flash. You have to make sure there's plenty of ambient light and have steady hands though. ;-)
Or, you can also fix these in photoshop. :)

I miss my baby! Wow, him grow up! He looks so sturdy now. I need to take pics of his little brother. I trimmed Stealth's claws yesterday, heh... and he complained most loudly the entire time.
Pounce is so beautiful *^_^*, I love his colors. You need to get some stretched out shots so people can admire his pretty spots. His tummy, you need to piccie his tummy!!!
*memories of hand feeding the Pounce baby cat every four hours*
Magic looks awesome! Love how black, black, black she is!
*intense desire to glomp the cats*
pictures, lots of ambient light is good. If you can go outside with the kits on a moderately sunny day, you should be able to take some excellent pictures without undue eye shine. Eyes are shiny and will reflect light, but if there is light coming from all around, it doesn't do the glow thingy. Plus, distance. If you can be five or more feet away, then zoom the camera, you can take pics with the flash with less shine/glare.
PICTURES!!!!!!!!!! aaahhhhh
Your memory stick only holds five? How big a stick is it? You might be able to take more pics if you lessen the size of the pics, or get a larger memory stick. I use a 128 mg memory stick and it holds tons and tons of pictures at 4 or 5 hundred k a picture.
sigh... lent my camera to the Jenny girl. *frets* Want to take kitty piccies!!! Maybe I'll borrow Steve's this weekend and do that.
Okay, off to by peppermint ice cream to make that cake this week!

Date: 2005-02-15 07:49 pm (UTC)it's a 4MB memory stick. I can't help but feel that it should hold more, and I am missing something important. Like how to change pic resolution, perhaps.
ooooh, cute Stealth claws! I wanna see baby brother pics. Pounce grumbles at me when I trim him, but he knows it's a losing battle by now. Which is nice, because the boy is solid muscle and, though he is not yet full grown, a big cat!!
And yes, Magic is a very very very black little cat. A deep and silky, shiny blue-black. If I was going to raise cats, I think I would choose Bombays as my breed because they are so gorgeous and such nice personalities, and they seem to be getting rarer...I see few breeders now and fewer at shows. Plus, silky black cat with firey-copper eyes...what's not to love?
Speaking of which, awright, she's gonna make the cake!!!!!!! awesome! K, make the cake, and then give me the recipie, and I'll make sure that you get credited in the cake portfolio.
