Cases, violas and projects, oh my!

summer_jackelI'm pretty darn happy. Found out on tuesday that I won my first case...this is the case I flew to LA to arbitrate. The arbitrator pretty much came down in my client's favor completely. Granted, this would have been a pretty difficult case to lose (why do you think the boss gave it to me?) but still...it feels nice. And it's, y'know, not only 'won my first case' but 'won my FIRST case.' Purries!!!!
It is a gorgeous spring here in Occidental. I am loving watching all the various songbirds eating the feeder I placed outside of my window. Got an utterly gorgeous bright yellow warbler of some kind yesterday, I need to identify him, but he was one of the prettiest birds I've ever seen.
Driving to Santa Rosa this afternoon to take my viola to the doctor...Mick Loveland violin shop; Mick is so very good with teh broken fiddles. It needs a new tailpiece, probably. I hope it's not too expensive. I WILL play the viola more, I resolve to. It's harder than fiddle and c clef is a bitch, but it's such a pretty instrument and there really need to be more celtic violists. I'm not much, but it's a beginning.
Deadlines are sneaking up on me like lamprey in the night. But. Both the Gathering Anthology and North American Fur WILL have fic and art from me, respectively, by the first. Resolutions and all. Yeah.
Just so I can see it in front of me more than any delusion that anyone beyond myself and possibly the intended recipient cares, the following are my trades/gifts/etc. in progress:

It is a gorgeous spring here in Occidental. I am loving watching all the various songbirds eating the feeder I placed outside of my window. Got an utterly gorgeous bright yellow warbler of some kind yesterday, I need to identify him, but he was one of the prettiest birds I've ever seen.
