Arts Post #1

So I decided to scan and show everything that I am actively working on right now, other than the Tarot stuff which hasn't moved much since the last time I posted any of it. All of this is in progress stuff, lineart or sketches, no finished anything yet.
I'm rather proud of this one, enough that I have drawn a couple more pictures of the character. Her facial markings are taken directly from a photograph of an actual fox, but I'm not certain what species it is. Probably an odd phase red one, but the character seems to want to be an arctic. I'll admit that she wasn't originally supposed to be a kitsune, either...I pencilled in tails in two different places, inked them and...oops, well I guess she's a kitsune. A few more tails and there you go. The one behind the harp, though, has to be *really* long, another mistake that I...well, kinda ran with. As will be seen in the next post.
That harp, though, is what I like about the pic. I mean, with a mosasaur as the top bit? How cool is that??

This cute little fella is a Koi-dog. You can blame
lythir for the idea and the horrible, horrible pun. I said coydog, she thought fish.

The Koi dog as seen from the front. His fishy half is of course domestic carp; his dog side is some sort of sighthound, maybe an Ibizan or Pharoah hound, with some Afghan thrown in.

Koidogs need their walkies. And probably their swimmies, too. I need to get around to coloring these, he will have very pretty, shiny scales.

Engine out. *whimper*. I drew this immediately after the real-life version of this event, in which my partner had to take the engine in and out of his battered but beautiful '57 beetle. Having the engine out is never good. Jackel nervously keeps her paw on the jack; Rawkit is getting mightily tired of that darn engine.

Sweet moment between surfer servals. There are so many problems with this pic, particularly the hand position on the seated one. So expect lots of changes to the finished version. Critique is very welcome.

Just a happy, contented little Jackel, flopped in the grass.
